Your hair will begin to grow back soon after your final treatment; hair is usually a lot finer to start with, almost like a fine down and can be duller in appearance. It may grow back differently from how your hair was before treatment; however, it should, in time, restore to how it used to be.

Sleeping in your wig is not recommended. The friction against your pillow can cause the wig to tangle and mat, and this will shorten the lifespan of your wig quite dramatically. I recommend wearing a soft sleep cap to keep your head warm and comfortable while sleeping.

Can heat damage my synthetic wig?
Yes, it can. Synthetic wigs should not be exposed to direct heat as it will damage/singe the hair fibres. Care must be taken when cooking, keeping your wig away from hot ovens, patio heaters and barbecues. You should not use straighteners, hot rollers or a hair dryer on a hot setting for synthetic wigs. The beauty of a synthetic wig is that they are very low maintenance as they do not need styling.

Is a human hair wig much more work than a synthetic wig?
A human hair wig requires more maintenance than a fibre wig, as it needs styling after every wash. It will also react to weather conditions as natural hair would. They are more expensive but are usually a better option if you wish to have a longer hairstyle. However, if undergoing cancer treatment, you may find the maintenance of a real hair wig too much work for you, unlike a synthetic wig which will be ready to wear all the time.
